Hi, I'm Bec
I'm a mum of two humans and two dog-babies, I'm happily married, and love to snowboard, learn, read, practice yoga, travel, hike and socialise with my favourite people. I am also a Registered Psychologist of over 20 years, trained EMDR therapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist and own a thriving private psychology practice.I absolutely love my work and am genuinely passionate and authentic in my desire to help transform the way women believe, think and behave when it comes to their beautiful bodies.
Since the year 2000, when I began my career at a clinic for eating disorders, I have supported 100's of women in their quest to find peace and self-acceptance with their bodies, weight, food and self-worth. Together we have explored the UNDERLYING factors (traumas, events, memories, habits, upbringing, systemic failures) that have led them to dislike their bodies, REWIRED the way they have been conditioned to think, feel and act toward their bodies and create LOVE and ACCEPTANCE where there was previously none. The journeys are inspiring and I am always grateful and honoured to be invited to walk this path alongside them. |

You Are Worthwhile And More Than Enough.
I am passionate about helping women to realise that self-worth is inherent and that it is ALWAYS possible to feel GOOD about their bodies, find self-love, self-compassion and joy inside, so they can get on with living their most important and meaningful life.
No woman should feel ashamed, guilty, insecure or inadequate about their body and it's my mission to change this for those who do. Every body is special, unique and exactly what we need in this lifetime (and if it isn't EXACTLY what we need then we can find ways to love it anyway because it is the ONLY one we have).
Loving and accepting the body we are born with is not easy, especially in a society that fixates on appearance and promotes such a limited definition of beauty. Very few of us naturally fit the definition of "beauty" in the current day but we are systematically conditioned to think and believe our bodies are lacking and need to change for us to be ok. The powers that be yield control over the way we view ourselves, our bodies, how acceptable they are and what we *should* focus on. We feel dissatisfied with our bodies for many reasons including what we have learned & how we have been treated, and most of us have been conditioned to believe that it is normal to hate our bodies, judge it negatively and desire to change it.
And with this inherent conditioning to dislike and pick on our bodies, we create cycles in our lives that mean we struggle with wanting to change what is perfectly ok and fail to accept what is natural. These cycles continue into adulthood, middle-age and older. And we pass our patterns and prejudices down to the next generation of precious little girls, those that look up to us with unconditional love and admiration, watching us desperately try to alter the bodies we live in.
And the unhelpful cycles continue.....

The restriction/fasting cycle
The exercise cycle
The "I'll change on Monday" cycle
The "Screw it, it's not worth caring for myself" cycle
The "I give up cycle".
Until we CHOOSE to BREAK them....
Because what is the point of hating something that is so precious, our vehicle to life, our one and only?
There's a way to live, where HOPE is possible and TRANSFORMATION is the reality.

Decide to be open and willing to TRY to love your body and be OPEN to the possibility that your body needs love, nourishment, care and respect.
