I'M TOO ANXIOUS TO JOIN......
As an anxious individual, you might be apprehensive about joining a group program and feel uneasy about sharing in a group setting.
There is no pressure to do anything you're uncomfortable doing.
You needn't fret about sharing your stories or experiences; while there will be time and opportunity for that, you'll never be pressured to do so if you're not inclined. You'll always have the choice to share or not, ensuring your comfort and autonomy throughout the program.
If you prefer to simply listen, absorb, and blend into the background, that's perfectly fine.
And if you are a sharer we love that too and there will be time to do so.
This is YOUR group and all participants will have the opportunity to create a safe, shared space with mutual agreements in place.
It will be a CLOSED group. Which means no-one will join after the start so there won't be surprises or random people dropping by.
It's important to recognise that other attendees are likely to have similar doubts; after all, it is a group designed for anxious adults. You will be amongst fellow peers who suffer their own version of stress and anxiety.
And from us to can expect our approach to be light-hearted, enjoyable, kind and open-minded. We do not judge and our focus is to help.
Our utmost priority is to create a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for all participants.

BASED ON DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOUR THERAPY (DBT)
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a powerful, evidence-based approach that effectively helps manage anxiety. Originally developed for borderline personality disorder, DBT has proven highly effective for various mental health challenges. It combines cognitive-behavioural techniques with mindfulness, acceptance, and dialectics to help individuals regulate emotions, build interpersonal skills, and develop distress tolerance.
DBT's effectiveness in reducing anxiety symptoms is well-documented. The therapy teaches essential skills such as mindfulness to stay present, distress tolerance to handle tough situations, and emotion regulation to manage intense feelings. Our fun and engaging 6-week DBT program is perfect for learning fundamental skills to manage anxiety. Over the course of the program, you’ll dive into mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills offer a solid foundation for understanding and managing anxiety in a supportive, structured environment. By the end, you’ll be better equipped to handle anxiety, enhancing your emotional well-being and resilience The following DBT skills will be covered:
