TRAUMA THERAPY
It may not always be obvious to a person how much an experience, or series of experiences, have affected them. Sometimes the subconscious mind naturally finds ways to process, store and adapt to the trauma. Other times humans need assistance to help their minds and bodies with this process. Sometimes trauma is virtually unnoticeable even to the victim’s closest friends and family. It is important to talk to after a traumatic event even if you have no initial signs of disturbance. Trauma can manifest days, months or even years after the actual event. All effects of trauma can take place either over a short period of time or over the course of weeks or even years. Any effects of trauma should be addressed immediately to prevent permanence. The sooner the trauma is addressed, the better chance a victim has of recovering successfully and fully.
